Cebu Shipyard Makes World Class Ships

A Filipino shipyard is giving the big players in the international shipbuilding industry a run for their money by making a difference, and getting its fair share of international orders despite bleak prospects in the local industry.
FBMA Marine Inc., which operates a shipyard in the town of Balamban, west of Cebu City, has turned what used to be idle lands into a shipbuilding facility that has delivered 13 vessels so far to clients as far as Australia and the United Kingdom.

But its most spectacular accomplishment is the Tricat (shown in the picture), the three-hulled catamaran, known worldwide for its speed, stylish appearance, luxurious interiors and excellent sea keeping capabilities ideally  used for inter-island travel.
